Responsibilities
Carbon Crusher has a proprietary Crusher which is a key part of our winning formula, and we will develop this one further to include more functionality in one vehicle, utilize sensors and autonomous steering, sustainable fuels etc. The VP Hardware Engineering will be responsible for this development. The work will include:
- Defining roadmap and timing of features to be included
- Scanning and selecting suppliers to work with
- Work with external hardware and software companies to develop the next generations of Crushers
- Work with Sales to forecast Crusher needs, and work with suppliers to ensure delivery of those
- Negotiate with external suppliers
Profile
- Excellent personal and professional skill set and track record
- Ambition, drive passion and alignment with the Carbon Crusher mission
- Min. 5 years of experience in hardware engineering
- Experience working with heavy vehicles, autonomous vehicles, and/or sensors highly valued
- Takes leadership of the hardware development process, including target setting, testing, working with external suppliers, etc.
- Ability to lead collaborations of multiple suppliers
- Ability to lead a small internal team as we grow is desired. Previous experience leading a team not a requirement, but welcomed

Location
The Carbon Crusher team you will be working with will primarily be located in Oslo, Hjartdal or New York. Co-location is viewed positively, but not a requirement for the right profile. However, working in a time zone that has some overlap with both Oslo and New York is required, and initially frequent travel to Hjartdal will be required, and likely occasionally to various suppliers. Regardless of location, we of course welcome and encourage flexible working solutions to ensure our team live sustainable and happy lives.
