Optime Subsea AS is a global industry expert on subsea services, subsea well access and subsea control systems. About the job

As group accountant you will have a very important role within the organization’s finance department. The key purpose is to provide, accurate, timely and relevant reporting and management information to ensure management meet statutory requirements and achieve strategic business goals. You will be an important sparring partner for the CFO - and you will have a key role in professionalising and further developing effective processes and routines. The position reports to the CFO. Place of work is at Notodden with possibility for some home office.

About you

We are looking for a candidate that have good experience from using ERP and BI systems, and who thrive in a hectic environment characterized by growth and change. You communicate well and collaborate effectively across departments and disciplines. You have experience from digitization processes and great interest in the accounting subject, technological development, and future solutions.

Key tasks

  • Manage the corporate month end accounting process
  • Group consolidation of our Norwegian and international units
  • Responsible for the subjects accounting and tax, and for internal control routines
  • Establish and maintain the Groups accounting polices
  • Follow-up and training of subsidiaries' accounting function
  • Support the team in carrying out daily, operational accounting activities as well as monthly, quarterly, year-end closing, budget, and forecasts
  • Contribute with system setup and development of routines in our finance systems
  • Assist in tax considerations
  • Point of contact for external Auditors

Key Requirements

  • Higher financial education within accounting or finance
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience within accounting and consolidated reporting
  • Good knowledge of accounting rules (NGAAP, VAT and tax)
  • Experience with ERP systems and including consolidated reporting and statutory reporting
  • Good system and process understanding
  • Intermediate to advanced computer software skills, including MS Office
  • Good written and oral presentation skills in Norwegian and English
