About the job
In the role as VP Sales & Business Development, you will be the frontline ambassador for Optime’s systems and products. You will lead the Sales department and have the overall responsibility of meeting sales and growth targets. Together with the sales team, you will develop relationship with existing and new customers, and discover and explore new markets and concepts.
The position reports to the CEO. Place of work is at Notodden. The position requires travel.
About You
The role requires you to see opportunities and that you are eager to launch new ideas. You are commercially minded and excellent at building relationships. You are self-motivated and organized in your work, and work purposefully and structured to achieve own and common goals.
Key tasks
- Lead and set directions for the Sales and Business Development team
- Drive the development of strategies and business models
- Ensure efficient and accurate processes within sales
- Develop existing customers by optimizing solutions
- Mapping new strategic customers and market areas
- Responsible for identifying, processing, and landing customer contracts
- Conduct negotiations at all levels with our customers
- Collaborate closely with our internal supporters in our operations department
- Interface with R&D to make sure the products will meet the market requirements.
- Establish and follow up targets and KPIs
- Prepare and take responsibility for budget and sales targets.
- Assessment of the product and customer portfolio's profitability and competitiveness.
- Conduct market, competitor, and trend monitoring
- Attend conferences and events to promote and discuss Optime’s offering
Key requirements
- Higher education in sales and/or marketing or economics
- Experience from sales/market work, negotiations and from leading a sales team
- Good at seeing trends in the market and identify commercial opportunities
- Excellent written and oral presentation skills in Norwegian and English
- Good system understanding, and an experienced user of Office programs.
- A well-established network in the oil & gas industry is preferable
