About the job

As Business Controller you will have a very important role within the organization’s finance department. The key purpose is to provide, accurate, timely and relevant reporting and management information to ensure management meet statutory requirements and achieve strategic business goals. You will be an important sparring partner for the CFO - and you will have a key role in professionalising and further developing effective processes and routines. The position reports to the CFO. Place of work is at Notodden & Kongsberg with possibility for some home office.

 

About you

We are looking for a candidate that have good experience from using ERP and BI systems, and who thrive in a hectic environment characterized by growth and change. You communicate well and collaborate effectively across departments and disciplines. You have experience from digitization processes and great interest in the accounting subject, technological development, and future solutions.

 

Key tasks

  • Define and communicate the monthly reporting process.
  • Analyzing financial data to identify trends, opportunities for improvement, and risks.
  • Monthly review of financial performance
  • Review and explain the development in financial performance in projects, departments, companies and for the Group.
  • Review financial performance up against budgets and forecast.
  • Cost controlling and - analyses.
  • Monitor net working capital.
  • Preparing monthly reports for the companies and the Group
  • Identify and report risks and areas of improve and cost savings.
  • Explain the development in cash flow and update cash flow forecast.
  • Define and lead the budget process and preparing the Group budget.
  • Prepare Forecast and business cases on Group level.
  • Participate in implementation and development of ERP systems.
  • Contribute into strategic decisions, by collecting facts, performing analysis and develop decision making material to the management team and the Board of Directors
  • Ad- hoc support on questions from people within the organization
  • Support ad-hoc demand for strategic and financial analyses

 

Key Requirements

  • Higher financial education, with good academic results in analytical subjects
  • Preferably 5-10 years relevant experience, preferably as business controller, consultant, investment analyst or accountant
  • Experience in business modelling and preparation of decision material in PPT and Excel
  • Knowledge and experience with ERP systems, preferably Dynamics 365 Business Central
  • Good knowledge of English language, both written and orally
